Terms of Service
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Welcome to Hexi! By creating an account or using Hexi (the website, the Workshop/Studio, the games, and the Forum), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Hexi.
1. Who can use Hexi
- You must follow these Terms and any rules shown on the site or inside a game.
- Some features are limited for younger users. For example, accounts marked as under 13 do not get access to chat.
- If you are a parent or guardian and have a concern about a child's account, contact us using the details in section 12.
2. Your account
- Choose a username that is appropriate. We may change or remove usernames, avatars, or profile content that break these Terms.
- Keep your login details private. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Don't impersonate staff or other people, and don't create accounts to get around a ban or warning.
3. How to behave
Hexi is for everyone to create and play. You agree not to:
- Harass, bully, threaten, or discriminate against others.
- Post or create content that is sexual, graphically violent, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate for a platform used by young people.
- Spam chat, the Forum, or games, or try to get around chat filters.
- Cheat, exploit bugs, or interfere with other players' experience. If you find a bug, please report it instead of abusing it.
- Share other people's private information, or ask other users for theirs.
- Try to hack, disrupt, scrape, or overload Hexi or its servers, or attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours.
- Use Hexi for anything illegal.
4. Content you create
- You own the games, builds, items, and other content you make. By publishing them on Hexi you give us permission to host, display, and run them on the site so other people can play and see them.
- Only upload things you made or have permission to use. Don't upload copyrighted material or other people's work without permission.
- Published games and uploaded items may be reviewed before or after they go live. We can decline, hide, or remove content at any time, and we may send a warning to the creator.
- Scripts and builds run in other players' browsers. Don't make content that is harmful, tries to steal information, or damages devices.
5. Hexagons, items, and the Market
- Hexagons and other in-game currencies, items, and limited items are virtual. They have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for money.
- We may adjust balances, prices, item availability, or remove items to fix errors, bugs, or abuse.
- Don't trade or sell Hexi accounts or items for real money or anything of value outside Hexi.
6. Reporting and moderation
- You can report players and content that break these Terms. Please only report in good faith, because false or spam reports may result in action against your account.
- We may warn, mute, restrict, or ban accounts, and remove content, when we believe these Terms have been broken.
- Moderation decisions are made at our discretion. If you think a mistake was made, contact us (section 12).
7. Friends and other players
You can add friends and play with other users. Other players are not controlled by us, so use good judgement and don't share personal information. If someone is making you uncomfortable, use Report and tell a trusted adult.
8. Privacy
To run Hexi we store information such as your username, avatar, friends, games, and settings. Some of this is saved in your browser and some on our servers. Your username, avatar, and the games you publish are visible to other users. We don't sell your personal information.
9. Third-party services
Hexi uses outside services (for example for hosting, databases, real-time multiplayer, and community chat on Discord). Their own terms and policies apply when you use them, and we aren't responsible for them.
10. Hexi is a work in progress
Hexi is in beta. Features can change, break, or be removed, and Hexi may go down for maintenance. We try to keep things working and your data safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or error-free, and data (including builds and balances) could be lost.
11. Limits of responsibility and changes
- Hexi is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law.
- To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hexi and its creators are not liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from your use of the site.
- We can suspend or end your access at any time, especially for breaking these Terms. You can stop using Hexi and delete your account from Settings whenever you like.
- We may update these Terms. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Hexi after changes means you accept them.
